“This pull to connect…”

For the past ten days, I have had a tenacious sinus infection…ears, throat, chest–thick, sticky mucus…no voice. The Nyquil is almost gone and I’m hoping that after tonight I won’t need it. It’s been a very long time since I’ve been sick…not even a cold. I’m humbled by the impact on my body; the inconvenience of not being able to breathe or even to think straight. I know that many people live with much worse every day of their lives. If you are one, my heart goes out to you and I’m deeply grateful for the good health that I ordinarily enjoy.

WITH THAT MOON LANGUAGE

Admit something:
Everyone you see, you say to them, “Love me.”
Of course you do not do this out loud; otherwise
someone would call the cops.
Still, though, think about this, this great pull in us to connect.
Why not become the one who lives with a full moon
in each eye that is always saying,
with that sweet moon language,
what every other eye in this world is dying to hear?

Beautiful. I love the poems you share.

    S: Hope you’re feeling better.

The mind boggles on what an entire bottle of this stuff does to the insides. I’m imagining one of the plastic dummies with a clear, see-through skin and color coded internal organs that snap together with all of this pink sludge sliding around inside it.

I know it’s supposed to help healing and all, but seriously, how can anything that looks, tastes, and smells like this make things better? Must be one of those oxymoronic things. IMO when you get well, it will be despite and not because of this “medicine.” You’ll feel much better I think when you’ve run out of the treatment.

David, You’ll be glad to know that the bottle is god-knows-how-old…probably just placobo effect, at best…was mostly empty when I took my first swig. All is well, tho’…today I feel human again!!
